Hay-on-Wye is famous for its second hand bookshops and annual book festival. You may like to take a journey on the Brecon mountain railway one of the most popular railways in Wales or visit Brecon Cathedral built circa 1093-1537. At Llangorse you can enjoy Riding, Trekking and Hacking, also indoor climbing activities suitable for families children and the more experienced.
On the shore of the lake at Llangorse you will find hire facilities for all sorts of water sports, fishing is also available on the lake as it is on some stretches on the River Usk.
